The Galician judoka family increases this weekend and it also does so with Ferrol as its birthplace. And from Saturday the regional calendar of this sport will have a new appointment, the Galician Alevín Mixed Team Championship who will experience the first combats in their history in the <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/10/bitacora-and-ad-ferrolterra-hosts-in-the-autonomic/" title="Bitácora and AD Ferrolterra, hosts in the Autonomic”>Esteiro pavilion.
A test that follows in the wake of competitions that already exist in other Autonomies – although there is no state event – and whose proposal within the ranks of the Galician Federation It materializes throughout Saturday and, furthermore, with a very good reception.
In fact, as pointed out Alberto Castro, from AD Ferrolterrafederative delegate and one of the promoters of this event “there will be fourteen formations that participate” in this first mixed junior event, with three female weights and as many male weights, with the idea, perhaps, of “polishing” this mix even more, with a system similar to its little sister, the Rías Altas League“in which girls and boys compete with each other,” says Castro.
Some young judokas, who, although they could test what they learned in the aforementioned grassroots competition, did not have a Galician test for them.
