Presented the white wine calendar © municipality of Florence
“I thank the Bianchi di Santo Spirito who dedicate time and energy every year to be able to donate the proceeds to a local association – declared thecouncilor for popular traditions Letizia Perini – in this case the ‘Resto io’ association was chosen to prevent and combat gender violence of every form and type.
Yesterday, for November 25th, I brought the red benches painted by the students of the Leon Battista Alberti art institute to the places where the four colors of historic football train.
It gives me even more pleasure to associate this message with such an important tradition for our city.
It’s nice that the Whites of Santo Spirito, always very attentive to the realities of the neighborhood, have decided to dedicate time, work and resources to combating gender violence.”
“Like every year the Whites of Santo Spirito – explains the president Marino Vieri – they offer to publish the new year’s calendar, donating the proceeds to a third sector association. This year we decided to help the Aps Social Promotion Association ‘Resto io’. The first goal of the calendar – adds the president of the Whites of historic Florentine football Marino Vieri – it is social and intends to help an association. We try, every year, to create a link with the various associations and we are committed, above all, to helping the lesser-known ones”.
The price of the calendar provides a minimum contribution of 10 eurosis on sale at the Bianchi gym in Piazza del Carmine. The photos are by Maurizio Rufino.
The APS ‘Resto io’ was born in Florence with the firm desire to prevent and combat gender violence of every form and type (discrimination against women and minors), taking particular account of the phenomenon of psychological violence as well as the relationship between domestic violence and witnessed violence.
‘Resto io’ intends to pursue the objectives of preventing and combating violence by providing prompt assistance, support and protection to victims of violence and their children. Therefore, the Association organizes free training and prevention courses aimed at citizens, schools, neighborhoods, sports clubs, together with providing a first aid/address desk.
