The atmosphere at the stadium blew up the media and told the world about the situation in Belarus.
Yesterday at the stadium in Warsaw the first ever match took place between the Polish Legia and Dynamo Minsk within the Conference League, which ended in a 4:0 victory for the hosts. But the main event was not the battles on the field, but the amazing atmosphere in the stands. This evening the slogan “Mińsk, Warszawa, wspólna sprawa!” sparkled with new colors.
Fans of the Polish club showed solidarity with the Belarusians and Poles who are in Lukashenka’s prisons. Belarusians came to the match with white-red-white flags and posters with Belarusian volunteers who fought for Ukraine, and Polish fans hung banners with meaningful slogans addressed to Lukashenko.
Lukashites were very afraid of this match, banning broadcasts in Belarus. Dynamo also abandoned the guest sector, which the Poles eventually decided to open to Belarusians with national symbols.
The ideologists failed to hide the match from the eyes of Belarusians living inside the country. Residents of the country actively watched the broadcasts on the Internet, and also shared atmospheric photos and videos in the media and social networks.
Belarusians shouted “Long live Belarus!” – in response, the Polish fans applauded our compatriots. Also, Poles and Belarusians held roll calls, clarifying the status of dictator Lukashenko.
The Poles who survived the communist dictatorship understand perfectly well what Belarusians are feeling now, so the Polish-Belarusian motto “Za naszą i waszą wolność” (For our freedom and yours) has not lost its relevance today. Let’s hope that the next match between Dynamo and Legia will take place in free Belarus.
