Hradec’s floorball players were not enough for Náchod, the raid drama was decided by Knettig

yesterday

For the second time in a row, the floorball players from Hradec Králové were not enough for the last team in the competition, and they lost narrowly to Floorball Náchod 5:6 after raids. Both teams played an even game, the goal difference was not greater than a single shot during the entire match. Náchod’s sensational three-point win was taken three seconds before the end by Lukáš Gregor, who scored an extra point for Hradec. The third raid lottery of the season did not go well for Hradec, and the local rival rejoiced at the victory. Hradec does not expect anything easy in the next home duel either, because on Saturday they will welcome the second BUTCHIS under the White Tower.

The scoring started with the expulsion of Náchod in the ninth minute of the match. In a weakened state, the decisive Patrik Jurco first opened the score of the match, 43 seconds later the rebounding Lukáš Klouček responded in a flash. Hard play and indiscriminate fights were carried throughout the duel, after one sharp intervention the player from Hradec Krád even had to be taken to the hospital.

The second period already offered the spectators a more goal-scoring spectacle, already at the beginning of the third period Lukáš Prause sent the home team into the lead. Hradec’s sharpshooter Jan Kourek subsequently confirmed his great form, as he made his mark in the last three matches of the East Bohemians. The balanced state lasted exactly 17 seconds, before Náchod captain Daniel Kříž flashed with an exhibition hit – 3:2. In addition, the Náchod team could quickly increase their lead, but Hradec goalkeeper Ondřej Bárta shone during the penalty shootout.

The match continued in a heated mood, and in the middle of the match, an unusual four-against-three power play from Hradec Krzysztof resulted. Hradečtí took advantage of the big opportunity, the most productive player of the competition, Matyáš Velc, headed right for the left post. He contributed to Hradec’s fourth goal with a handsome assist, when he found a free Ondřej Rusin in front of an empty goal, who scored the tenth Canadian point of the season with an easy finish.

At the beginning of the third period, Hradečtí did not guard the back door and Náchod took advantage of the mistakes mercilessly. The home team’s impressive pressing drove the visitors to the crease and Ondřej Macháček leveled the score for the fourth time in the match. In the 56th minute, Náchodští took the lead back when Filip Čáp, who also played in Hradec Králové’s jersey for three seasons, scored with a venomous blow to the front post – 5:4.

Tomáš Faltejsk’s men played the last minutes without a goalkeeper, and a golden chance to score came their way 3 seconds before the end in the form of a penalty kick from the edge of the large goal area. Matyáš Velc moved the ball to the gunner Lukáš Gregor, who unleashed the euphoria of Hradec Králové with a spectacular bomb into the gallows and thus leveled the score of the match at 5:5.

Another scorer was not found in overtime mainly due to excellent goalkeeping performances. Home goalkeeper Vlastimil Skalický made 32 saves in the match, guest Ondřej Bárta surpassed him by ten saves. The shooters only looked for the recipe for great goalkeepers in raids, where Filip Knettig from Náchod was the only successful executor. After a dramatic contest, Náchod won 6:5 after separate raids.

However, Hradečtí need not despair, as they continue to hold on to sixth place in the table. The hesitation of all table neighbors is mainly to blame, the Hradec team loses only three points to the fourth Havířov. An attractive duel awaits the fans next Saturday from 18:00 when the second BUTCHIS arrives under the White Tower. Hradec has already matured against a strong opponent once, Hradec won with a score of 7:4 in the controversial cup match.
