“I don’t realize it’s over”: this 18-year-old Frenchman is the last to train with Nadal

Nathan Trouvé, 18, is just starting his career as a professional player. However, the teenager will already have some great memories to tell his future grandchildren. A resident of the Rafael Nadal academy in Manacor, on the island of Majorca, he is in fact the last Frenchman to have played with the Spanish legend before his farewell on the evening of the elimination against the Netherlands in the quarter-final of the Davis Cup.

“These last few weeks have really been very special,” breathes the young Habs, currently in Mexico to play the end of the junior circuit season, where he occupies 28th place in the world. I’ve told myself many times the privilege I had but I don’t yet realize that it’s over. It’s going to take a little time to digest.
