IATA Men’s Tennis Championship: UP’s Eklavya defeated, Karnataka’s Nitilan became champion

Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Unseeded Neetilan of Karnataka achieved the distinction of becoming the winner in the IATA Tennis Men’s Championship. With this victory he captured prize money of Rs 12500. Neetilan achieved this success in a tough competition. In the final match, third seed Eklavya Singh of UP could not win the title in the final. Eklavya did not look in rhythm today. Due to this, Neetilan defeated Ekalavya 6-1, 6-2.

The final match at Unnat Tennis Academy located in Ashiana remained one-sided. Neetilan started with a bang. Neetilan displayed excellent performance in approach shot, backspin, backhand and smash. Neetilan won 6-1 in the first set. He maintained his dominance in the second set also. Eklavya Singh tried hard to make a comeback in this match but was not successful. In the end, Neetilan won this set also by 6-2 and became the champion.
