Skating on the ice rinks is often a lot of fun for children and adults. Now the season begins and the first tracks open.
Potsdam – In Brandenburg, numerous ice skating rinks are opening their doors to visitors this weekend. Since Saturday, children and adults have been able to do laps again on the ice rink in the Metropolishalle at the Filmpark Babelsberg. The organizers announced this. Visitors can rent ice skates on site. There has been an ice skating rink in the film park for several years; it used to be in the much smaller Caligarihalle.
Sports enthusiasts can also put on their ice skates again in Cottbus. From Saturday the covered area at the Tiroler Stadl opens, which is used for playing tennis, volleyball and badminton in the summer months. According to the operators, ice hockey can even be played in small groups on site.
The Hollandpark in Panketal (Barnim district) has once again set up a covered ice rink this year. The season also starts on Saturday. The organizers announced a small supporting program for children. The ice rink at the Kremmener Spargelhof (Oberhavel district) is also scheduled to open again from Saturday. Curling is also possible on site.
In the coming weeks, the rink will also open for ice skating fans on the Lübben market square. In Frankfurt (Oder), the ice skating season begins in a few weeks at the stadium of the Center for Sport and Leisure. dpa
