IFL Draft in synergy with the Rome City Institute

Draft of the IFL, Italian Football League, in synergy with the Rome City Institute, which has allowed 8 of the 12 teams that will participate in the next Italian First Division Championship to choose an American student-athlete to add to their roster for the 2025 season. The Draft, in pure NFL style, took place in hybrid mode, with some of the teams connected remotely and in live streaming both in Italy and in the USA. An absolute “first time”, which followed the Combine last November 15th, where the IFL coaches and technical staff were able to test the candidate athletes.

The Draft with the Rome City Institute

The Rome City Institute, with College Life Italia, has expanded its educational and sporting offer to also include American football from this year, thanks to the collaboration with Fidaf and the hope is that for the coming seasons the numbers will increase and can allow all IFL teams to field at least one of these players who, we remind you, are in addition to the three imports already admitted to the IFL roster.

The event, which also saw the presence in Rome of the IFL Commissioner, Fabio Tortosa, Fabrizio Cupellini, head of the USA Experience area of Fidaf, as well as the “host”, Stefano Radio, the President of Rome City Institute as well as the College Life Italia group, ended with the inevitable photos and with the athletes dressed in the colors of their new teams. The Lazio Marines have selected Isaiah Dunn, an eighteen-year-old running back.
