It’s a unavoidable in Castelbriant sports life. The big one Athletes’ Splashes ceremony took place this Friday, November 8, 2024 in the Béré hall of Chateaubriant (Loire-Atlantique).
Several hundreds of people were present for the occasion, coming to encourage their respective athletes.
Châteaubriant: Laura Couvrand wins the Éclats de sportives
For this 23rd edition, they were 12 in liceindividually or in teams, to win the prize of best sportsman of the year 2024.
And at the end of the evening, it’s finally Laura Couvrerandof Judo-club castelbriantais (JCC), who was elected.
It’s a pride to represent my club and to get on the first step of the podium. I didn’t expect to win. It’s really a great victory. My loved ones came to encourage me. I had an incredible evening.
Laura Couvrand will now prepare “for the departmental championships in less than 78 kg”.
Anna Leye receives the jury prize
Laura Couvrand was ahead of Matilde Rio Mauraof Roller-club castelbriantais (RCC) and the 13/14 year old team of Cyclo-club castelbriantais (CCC).
As for the Serge Moreau jury prize, it was awarded to Anna Leyeof the Voltigeurs de Châteaubriant.
The evening was also marked by several sporting activities, including that of the acrobatic basketball troupe of the Barjots Dunkers.
