Last year, he finished on the third step of the podium. Méryl Hirtzig, 32, will be in the dojo this Thursday, with the desire to retain her world title acquired in 2022 and 2023. Five to six fights await them in the same format as the seniors.

Give “an example to the young people of the club to surpass themselves”

“We prepare physically on the athletics track and we train in Quéven and Caudan, with Erwan Davigo. We coach each other,” says Erwan Tisserand. Méryl will get the hat-trick this Thursday. “The level increases every year, internationals are getting involved. It sets an example for the young people at the club to surpass themselves. It’s also for them that I’m going there, to tell them it’s possible to go far,” assures the judoka.

The pair was able to finance the trip to Las Vegas thanks to the support of sixteen local partners, including the City of Quéven.
