Get to Milano All Blinds – Baseball like you’ve never seen it”, the filmmaker’s new film Matteo Alemannoproduced by Marvin Film and ESP Produzione, with accessibility handled by the Association Blindsight Project. “A small film, a great mission”, is how this work is presented, which will be broadcast as a world premiere Friday 8 November 2024 (at 2.30 pm, in Room 2 of the Cinema Centrale in Milan, in via Torino 30/33), as part of the 42nd edition of the prestigious Competition “Sport Movies & TV”, organized by FICTS – Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs (the International Federation of Cinema and Sports Television), and recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). As mentioned, the film features accessibility features curated by Blindsight Project. In particular audio description and subtitles they will be available for free from the first screening in theaters on MovieReading. Their preparation involved various professionals: the audio description texts are by Laura Giordanithe Italian subtitles are by Barbara Paradisowhile the narrative voice is by Raffaella Castelli.

All Blinds narrates the events of the first baseball team per people with visual impairments established in Rome in 2008: the Roma All Blindsprecisely. This is a unpublished story in which the chronicle of the sporting events that the team has to face during the Italian championship is intertwined with the daily, personal and intimate experiences of the players. Marco, Alfonso, Giuseppe, Moutie, Martina, Anna, Yeraldyn, Andrea e Jacopo they are protagonists of an adventure that takes them through continuous challenges, on the pitch and in life, united by a passion for their sport and guided by a common dream: to ensure that, one day, this sport can be included among the Paralympic disciplines of team.
