Last Saturday you could enjoy the best Spanish badminton in Moral de Calatrava with the fifth test of the National Parabadminton Circuit, the under 13 promising league, and in the Castilla La Mancha under 17 and absolute club league.

The men’s singles draw WH1 -1 was with Francisco Motero (Huelva) as first, the silver went to Jorge Lopez (UVA) and the bronze went to Maya Alcaide (DROP TOLEDO)

The men’s singles team SL3-4 was with Alex Santamaría (Lardero) as first, the silver went to Jesús Olmos (Cb ies la Orden) and the bronze went to Selenia Pla (Club Bádminton Xátiva)

The SU5 men’s doubles team was left with Jesús Olmos / Iván Segura (Cb ies la Orden / Granada), the silver was won by José Manuel de las Heras / Unai Fernández (DROP TOLEDO / CIUDAD DE VILLALBA) and the bronze was taken by Juan Antonio Ramírez / Alex Santamaria (LUCENA / LARDERO)

The men’s individual SU5 – SH6 team was with Iván Segura (GRANADA) as first, Unai Fernández (CIUDAD DE VILLALBA) as second and José Manuel de las Heras (Drop Toledo) as third.

Finally, in the inclusive table, Mateo Higueras / Jorge López (ALBATROS / UVA) was first, and Jimena Alonso / Jesús Olmos (ALBATROS / CB IES LA ORDEN) was second.

PROMISES LEAGUE SUB 13, CLUB LEAGUE SUB 17, ABSOLUTA OF CASTILLA LA MANCHA. On the other hand, the “Promises League 2024” was held, a team competition between the clubs of Castilla – La Mancha. Being an interesting and fun day for players of all ages from under 13 to seniors. The matches were played in 5 matches: mixed doubles, women’s doubles, men’s doubles, women’s singles and men’s singles.

*In the SUB 13 category, Moral presented 3 teams: A, B and C. The winner was Albatros. 2nd Drop Toledo. 3rd Goose Wings. 4th Morals of Calatrava.

The Moral A team was made up of: Lucía Segovia Naranjo, Jimena Trujillo, Lucas Carrasco and Francisco del Fresno.

Moral B achieved 5th position. Adrián Delgado, Juan Fernández, Cesar Molina, Naira Lerma, Lucía Molina Sánchez and Edurne Talavera Pérez.

Moral C won 6th place. Adrián Aranda, Daniel Arroyo, Pelayo Diez, Julia Bautista, Lucía López, and Desirée Moreno.

*In the under 17 category, the Albatros Cuenca club won, with the Bádminton Moral club finishing second and Drop Toledo third. Moral’s team was made up of: Ángel Flores Sancho, Ismael Bacete López, Alejandro González Nilina, Manuel Carrasco Nieto, Diana Dulya, Sandra Naranjo López and Candi López Flores.

*In the absolute category, the Drop Toledo club won, second was Goose Wings (Guadalajara) and third was Albatros.

IV OPEN OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CASTILLA LA MANCHA. On Sunday, November 17, at the sports facilities of the University of Castilla-La Mancha on the Cuenca Campus, the IV UCLM Badminton Open was held, with a large registration of 140 male and female players, with a total of 248 matches being played in the 11 tracks enabled for this purpose, in 16 categories and modalities.

Athletes from clubs from Toledo, Ciudad Real (Moral de Calatrava), Albacete, Guadalajara, Madrid, Valencia and Alicante attended.

César Sánchez Meléndez, Vice-Rector of Culture, Sports and Social Responsibility of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, together with Charo Rodríguez Patiño, Councilor for Sports of the Cuenca City Council, were in charge of delivering the medals to those who obtained the first three places. in each of the categories and modalities, in a day that began at 9:00 in the morning and ended after 8:30 p.m., with practically twelve hours of uninterrupted badminton with very intense matches.

4 players from the Moral club traveled to the town of Cuenca. After a hard day, Antonio Bacete Delgado and Ismael Bacete López managed to become men’s doubles champions in the absolute category. And Antonio also managed to win first place in the mixed doubles with Isabel Díaz.

This sporting event, thanks to the collaboration between the Albatros Cuenca Badminton Club and the University of Castilla-La Mancha, in addition to the support of the Badminton Federation of Castilla-La Mancha.
