IPL 2025 Mega Auction Live Updates Online Day 2: On the first day of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, franchises spent a lot of money on Indian players, with players like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer earning the most money from the big event. Lucknow Super Giants broke the record of being the most expensive player in the history of IPL by bidding Rs 27 crore for Pant. Shreyas Iyer, who held the above record for some time, was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore. Venkatesh Iyer was bought back by Kolkata Knight Riders for a huge price of Rs 23.75 crore. Overall, on the first day itself the franchise spent Rs 467.95 crore on buying players.
