A judo competition took place in Wangen on November 10th, 2024. This year too, the Ju-Jutsu/Budo department of TV Isny went there with 11 children and 2 trainers. Every child in the department was able to win a place on the podium. Giulaika Weckemann and Finja Herrmann clearly asserted themselves in their weight classes and won every fight, so that the two of them were able to take 1st place. Raphael Heinz, who also took 1st place, was unstoppable and also won all fights, including the fight against his training partner Atreju Weckemann. Atreyu was able to secure second place. TV Isny’s two training partners, Justus Schürrle and Levi Burgardt, also had to fight against each other in their weight class. Justus was able to prevail and achieved 2nd place and Levi a strong 3rd place. Luca Ohmayer and Noah Burgardt secured 3rd place in their weight class after very strong fights, even though they had to compete against children with significantly higher levels. Nick Tachlinski also fought his way up to 3rd place with his performance. It was particularly difficult for Dominik Leiser, who took 3rd place and not only had to compete against much more experienced fighters, but also against much older fighters. Mia Manz didn’t have it easy either, even though she had only been practicing Ju-Jutsu for a few weeks, she was able to secure a good 3rd place. The coaches are proud of all the achievements shown and hope for success at the next competition.
