Tochigi clears attendance record for game against Suzuka

Iwate Gruja Morioka (Iwate), which is ranked last in J3, will be promoted to next season’s JFL due to the attendance (9,531 people) for Tochigi City FC vs. Atlético Suzuka Club in Round 29 of the JFL held on November 17th. has been decided to be demoted.

Iwate had not been able to pick up a win since the beginning of this season, and as a result of a 1-1 draw against Zweigen Kanazawa in Round 35 of the J3 League on November 3, they were confirmed to be in last place.

In the JFL, first place Tochigi City, which has a chance of winning, and second place Kochi United SC both have J3 licenses. Because Kochi met the conditions set by the league, if Tochigi’s attendance for the game against Suzuka exceeded 2,095, Iwate would be demoted from the JFL.

The number of spectators for the Tochigi vs. Suzuka game was announced midway through the second half at 9,531. Since the number of players exceeded 2095, it was decided at this point that Iwate would be relegated to the JFL.
