Jannik Sinner achieved a historic mark from Roger Federer

Hardly Jannik Sinner (1° del mundo) managed to have a better season in his career than the one he is closing in 2024. In addition to the two Grand Slam titles (Australian Open and US Open), he achieved eight on the circuit and reached the top of the world rankings.

However, in his recent match against Tallon Griekspoor (40th), in the final of the Davis Cupbuttoned a brand that only Roger Federer owned, nothing more and nothing less.

Sinner managed to win at least one set in each and every one of the 79 matches he played in 2024. In men, only the aforementioned Federer had done so in 2005 (85 matches).

Serena Williams, for her part, was the only female tennis player to achieve this, in 2013, the year in which she played 82 matches.
