Japan charts: New releases storm the charts (week 43/2024) – ntower

We’re quickly approaching this year’s Christmas season, which is why publishers are now going all out when it comes to new releases. New releases make up over a third of the software if we look at it Japan-Charts for the period from October 21st to 27th. These include Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, which with all its versions combined would actually be in first place, and Sonic x Shadow Generations, although Sonic is, as usual, weaker in Japan than in the West. Curiously, this time a download card also made it into the top 30: the one for Yakuza Kiwami. Japanese gamers have apparently been waiting a long time to play SEGA’s cult series on a Nintendo platform. Here you can see the whole list:
