Judo Club Jena – State Team Championships U15

At the U15 team championships in Wechmar, JC Jena and Nippon Schleiz formed a fighting team.

First we had to cope with the cancellation of Hevorg Sarkisyan up to 46 kg.

Five teams competed in the boys’ category: JSC Stottternheim, Kodokan Erfurt, KG PSV Erfurt/JSV Auma, TSV Gera-Zwötzen and KG JC Jena/Nippon Schleiz. Due to the cancellation of the 46 kg class, one of our 40 kg athletes had to move up to the 46 kg class.

In the first match, TSV Gera-Zwötzen was clearly defeated 4-1. Then came the more powerful calibers.

In the second fight it was against co-favorite Kodokan Erfurt, here too KG Jena/Schleiz surprisingly won 4:1.

In the third fight, JSC Stotternheim was waiting for us. But here too, all competitors were highly motivated and we left the mat as winners again with a score of 4:1.

The last fight was against the strong team PSV Erfurt/JSV Auma. Ilja Kacher lost up to 40 kg, Thore Schneider sensationally won up to 46 kg after being behind in the Golden Score. Vitus Müller up to 55 kg was a bench for us and, as expected, took the point for a 2-1 lead. Now Jonathan Stanja/66 kg was able to make everything clear and got the 3rd winning point with a nice foot throw to make it 3:1. The +66 kg class went to KG Erfurt/Auma.

With this 3:2 victory in the last fight, the KG JC Jena/Nippon Schleiz became the undefeated Thuringian team champions of the U15ml.

Kodokan Erfurt took second place and KG PSV Erfurt/JSV Auma came third. The successful team included: up to 40 kg Ilja Kacher and Thore Schneider both JC Jena, up to 55 kg Vitus Müller/Nippon Schleiz, up to 66 kg Jonathan Stanja/JC Jena and Janne Markwart/JC Jena and Maksym Halahan/Nippon Schleiz. Thore Schneider/40 kg, Vitus Müller/55 kg and Jonathan Stanja/66 kg were able to win all four of their fights.

Four teams competed for the girls. The KG PSV Erfurt/JC Jena was strengthened by Emma Schuster/JC Jena. Emma won all 3 of her competitions. In the end, the KG PSV Erfurt/JC Jena Thuringian team champion U15 wbl. Second place went to JSC Stotternheim and third place went to PSV Schmölln. Both teams have qualified for the German Youth Cup on November 30th, 2024 in Senftenberg.
