Judo declares himself legal.
With determination and ambition, the Mexican judo team declared itself ready to face the three events that will take place starting this Thursday in Montreal, Canada: the Junior and Cadet Pan American Cups, as well as the Senior Pan American Open.

The activities will begin tomorrow with the Junior Pan American Cup, a qualifying competition for the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games, in which the country will be represented by a total of 13 athletes, eight men and five women.

Carlos Macías, Eduardo Sagastegui, Ian Aguirre, Juan Ramírez, Rafael Ramírez, Yael Díaz, Dante Flores, Hugo Sánchez, Daniela Leandro, Aylin Ávila, Frida Maya, Yamileth Juárez and Paula Sánchez are the judokas who will take to the tatami with the aim of ensuring their presence in the continental competition the following year.

“There are some who, so far, are already classified and by getting on the podium they maintain their qualification, while others must finish in first or second place to enter the classification zone,” the head of national coaches, Jorge, explained to CONADE. Luis Atencio.

Rafael Ramírez himself will repeat on Friday in the cadet event, while in the senior category tournament, to be held Saturday and Sunday, Juan Ramírez and José Ramírez will try to conquer glory on Canadian soil.

The Pan American Cups will be recognized for the International Judo Federation (IJF) world ranking for under-18 and under-21 junior cadets. For its part, the Pan American Open will count towards the senior ranking.
