Technology course with Olympic and world champions
A very special judo course took place in Abensberg on November 16th, 2024. The two-time Olympic champion and three-time world champion in judo, Shohei Ono from Japan, gave 150 enthusiastic judoka an insight into his most successful fighting techniques on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to our German Olympic champion Ole Bischof, two judoka from the Budo Club Ismaning, Mark and Anett D., were also there. In order to meet the later training requirements, we started with a joint warm-up training. In the morning, Shohei Ono was able to inspire the participants with increasingly complex floor techniques. After a longer lunch break, which many took advantage of for lunch in the neighboring restaurant, we continued in the afternoon. When warming up again with acrobatic exercises, the 32-year-old was able to impress with his still outstanding fitness. The participants were then able to get an impression of the former top athlete’s throwing techniques. The photo and autograph session that took place at the end was a crowning conclusion to this great experience.
