Judo district league Mönner

On the last day of the 2024 district league, the Biberach judoka were able to successfully finish the season in 4th place.

Due to the small number of participating teams, this year’s district league was expanded to include another district and thus included teams from all over southern Württemberg.

The Biberach team was not quite optimally staffed and had to fill the heavyweight division (+90 kg) with lighter fighters.

Daniel Poßeckert -73 kg, Arman Hubert -66 kg, Ilja Porchatschow +90 kg and Tobias Franz -81 kg were able to score successfully against JV Nürtingen and thus win the match 4:1 for Biberach. This was a good start.

In the encounter against the fighting community from Ulm/Neu-Ulm, the Biberach team suffered a clear 1:4 defeat.

The next opponent was the judoka from TSB Ravensburg 2. The first team from Ravensburg is fighting in the 2nd Bundesliga and it was clear that it would be difficult in this encounter and so the final result was 1:4.

In the fight against MTG Wangen, Daniel Poßeckert, Hubert Arman, Tobias Franz, Peter Häfele and Ilja Porchatschow from Biberach were well prepared and were all able to win their matches early and thus ensure a confident and safe 5-0 victory.

The Biberach team won the encounter against the Judo Club Horb 4-1.

The narrow victory against Sigmaringen (3:2) was ensured by the victories of Tobias Franz, Arman Huber and Khusniddin Khaidarov.

The JSV Tübingen team was swept off the mat again confidently with 4:1.

In the decisive fight for the bronze medal it became exciting again and the victories of Arman Hubert – 66 kg, who won all fights in the season, and Daniel Poßeckert – 73 kg were unfortunately not enough to prevent the narrow (2:3) defeat .

After the 5th place last year, the upward trend in the team performance was clearly visible and with the unfortunate 4th place, the TG Judoka can start preparing for the next season with the goal of promotion to the national league.
