This Wednesday, November 13, the Hauts-de-France judo team had a mixed evening during its trip to Asnières-sur-Seine. A first half that was catastrophic for the visitors losing four games by ippon while the second half was in their favor with three wins by ippon, but a 6-3 defeat in the end.
The first fight was quick, the young judokate Inaya Moussati lost on ippon in 13 seconds, against the Asniérooise Alyssia Poulange. This astonishing result destabilized the team members: “this cooled the other judokas who did not manage to enter the match” confides Ilana Korval, coach of the Hauts-de-France judo team. Raphael Adriano, opposed to Olympian Abderrahmane Boushita, drew, but as I.Korval tells us: “He could have easily won. The sequences where he put rhythm and swept, he was on top. He didn’t do it enough, because he could aim for victory. » First two meetings which made the judokas lose their means : “For us, it was another little blow” confides the technician. The third face-to-face turned in favor of Asnières and Meriem Medjouri. A shido against Ylona Wattecant after a minute and a half then an ippon just before halfway through the fight put an end to the visitors’ hopes. Lionel Bebey will only have remained on the mat for 46 seconds. He lost by ippon against Zackaria Belfouel. Romane Dyotcloses the first half of the evening with S’inclinant by waza-ari awasete ippon against the Indian Himanshi Tokas.
Ilana Korval, re-motivated her troops mid-meet. Alas, Baptiste Lalau encaisse a waza-ari then he is immobilized on the ground for 20 seconds by Tom Libert. “It’s a shame, because he was in the match and despite the result, he had a good state of mind and the right attitude. He took a risk that didn’t pay off.” admits I.Korval. Asnières wins the match, but there are still four fights remaining. The confrontation between Farah Bedar, member of the Asnières team, and Nina Muteba, member of the HDF, was won by the visitor. A first waza-ari scored after two minutes, followed by a second, offers the first victory of the evening to the HDF. Ourouzmag Magkeyev continues the momentum of his teammate and won his fight by waza-ari awasete ippon against Yoann Benezra. Israa Daghari tried a lot during her confrontation, but two shidos received gave the advantage to Asniéroise Sarra Mzoughi. An advantage that the first was not able to gain. Luke Lomidze As for him, his face-to-face begins by receiving a shido for provocation then receiving a waza-ari. But that did not prevent him from seeking victory via a strangulation and the abandonment of his opponent: Khamzat Saparbaev.
Even in defeat, we can learn lessons. Particularly on the attitude to have when you are outside: “From this defeat, they learned to have the same state of mind. Having played the first two days at home, they were used to having the public behind them. But there, the meeting took place in a “hostile” room. A bad atmosphere set in during the two hours of waiting in the stands. We felt uneasiness. It is an experience that we will have had before the trip to Bègles. After all, we are warriors and we are here to win. » Another positive point is the ability of the heavyweights to raise their heads in the second half of the evening : “It’s difficult when you’re down 5-0 to score three points.
