Portuguesa had an outstanding performance in judo, where the athletes John Paul Alvarez Marinucci and Keiver Zerpa They won bronze medals.
Álvarez Marinucci, 16, participated in the 100 kilogram category, facing the representatives of Nueva Esparta and Capital District, winning both fights. In the final phase he lost to the competitor Bolívar, finishing in third place in the tournament.
Nonetheless, Zerpa climbed the tatami in the 73 kilogram category and he measured his skill against the athletes from Anzoátegui and Carabobo, winning both duels, but falling to the representative of La Guaira.
