Our <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2024/05/judo-safari-2024-a-day-of-excitement-and-achievements-for-young-judoka/" title="Judo Safari 2024: A Day of Excitement and Achievements for Young Judoka”>Judo Safari 2024 finally took place last weekend. This has had to be postponed twice this year due to competition operations. We met in the hall at 2 p.m. when we were in a good mood and the first thing we did was set up the mat together. Tables were moved, shopping for the event was done and the parents’ many goodies were put away. Many thanks to the many (presumably) bakers!
The first item on the program was the creative part. The children were allowed to “lay out” motifs/pictures using everything the hall had to offer. These were then photographed from a bird’s eye view – what was created was really great!
Afterwards, games were played and a judo session was held. Traditionally, we had pizza for dinner – delicious as always! Now the kids were allowed to build their “beds” because there was a movie on the agenda. So the evening ended comfortably.
After a relaxing night, the team was on the mat at 8 a.m. sharp for the first session of the day – we don’t know whether everyone was so enthusiastic. But you have to earn a good breakfast. After strengthening in the morning, the course was successfully mastered.
Almost punctually at 11 a.m., the little, partly tired fighters were picked up by their parents.
