Judocas from Quintana Roo share training with Olympic athletes in Chiapas

Chiapas.- With the aim of acquiring experience that can be used for their future sports competitions, a team from Quintana Roo in the judo discipline is participating in a Training Camp in the city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, which is being taught by the Olympic athletes of the Paris 2024 Games, Prisca Awiti and Paulina Martínez.

As stated in the New Agreement for Well-being and Development, promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, work is being done so that athletes can develop, therefore through the Quintana Roo Sports Commission (CODEQ), chaired by Jacobo Arzate Hop, support is provided so that they can have the necessary tools for their respective preparations.

The Quintana Roo team, headed by Professor Dayma Beltrán, technical director of the state selective, about 40 athletes will live this enriching experience, in which they will receive advice and listen to the experiences of the country’s two talented Olympic judokas, such as Prisca Awiti, who She achieved silver in Paris 2024 and also the athlete Paulina Martínez, who already has experience in an Olympic event.

The objective of this activity is for the members of the state team to strengthen and improve their performance in physical and technical aspects, and for this to be reflected in the results in the competitions in which they participate.

It should be remembered that in the last 2024 edition of the CONADE Nationals, the state judo team won a total of seven medals, of which two were silver and five more were bronze.
