JYP Entertainment will hold an amateur charity basketball tournament to support treatment costs for children from underprivileged families.

JYP Entertainment announced on the 27th that it will hold the amateur charity basketball tournament ‘JYPBT (JYP Basketball Tournament)’ at the Yonsei University gym in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul from the 30th of this month to December 1st and December 7th to 8th.

A total of 27 domestic basketball club teams, including ‘BPM’, ‘Owls’, ‘J.Crew’, and ‘Black Label’, will participate. JYP’s representative producer Park Jin-young will be a member of the ‘BPM’ team.

The participating team’s participation fee will be fully used to support treatment costs for patients from vulnerable groups through Samsung Seoul Hospital.

JYP also provides additional donations, and Wilson, the official sponsor of the competition, provides official balls, souvenirs, uniforms, etc. and makes a donation.

A variety of events will be held on the 8th of next month, the day of the finals. A 5-on-5 match will be held between celebrities such as Park Jin-young, Jeong Jin-woon, and Kim Tae-woo and professional players.

In addition, the ‘JYP Challenge’ is held in which celebrities and basketball players team up to shoot shots from various positions within a set time and donate under the name of the team that scored the highest.

This competition is free to watch, and the finals and event matches will be broadcast live on the ‘JYPBT’ official YouTube channel.

Basketball commentators Cho Hyun-il, Kim Eun-hye, Jeong Yong-gum, Kim Il-du, and Han Jang-hee provide live commentary and convey the excitement of the field more vividly.
