Keisy Perafán and Tobías Coronel were Argentine champions in Jujuy

The Puntanos Keisy Perafán and Tobías Coronel won the Gold medal in the 2024 National Clausura Tournament held in Jujuy for all categories organized by the Argentine Judo Confederation.

The San Luis delegation also won three silver medals from Agustina Lahiton, Agustín Godoy and a second from Coronel in another division. While Bautista Molina celebrated a bronze medal.

In the Senior 52 kilo final, a particular situation occurred, especially for the provincial representatives, as Perafán and Lahiton came face to face, thus securing two of the most important medals of the tournament.

The victory went to the experienced Keisy who after the podium posted: “It is always worth getting up and trying again. It was a great tournament, with an epic final in which we gave everything with Agustina. Furthermore, I am happy to start this adventure at 52 kilos (historically the Puntana competed at 48 kg). Deciding to continue and make the category change was a difficult process, but going through it made me grow. Thank you for joining me.”

This post did not go unnoticed by Paula Pareto who responded: “Congratulations Kei! Step by step. You already know!”

Tobías Coronel was the other high point with two medals, the gold in the Graduate Kyu category and the silver in Junior, both in 66 kilos. Coincidentally, it was in the Junior that Agustín Godoy added the bronze and Bautista Molina in the 60 kilo Novice finished on the third step of the podium.
