Bola.net – FC Copenhagen defender, Kevin Diks, will reportedly take the oath of Indonesian citizenship in Denmark on November 7 2024, so he can debut with the Indonesian national team against Japan.
Kevin Diks’ naturalization has been approved by Commission VIII and Commission X. In a working meeting with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) and PSSI on Monday (4/11).
Initially PSSI wanted to project Kevin Diks to defend the Indonesian national team when facing Saudi Arabia. Namely after the Garuda Squad fought Japan.
The Indonesian national team will host Japan on November 15 2024 at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. The match was fifth in the Third Round of Group C of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in the Asian Zone.

The Garuda squad will then host Saudi Arabia at SUGBK. The match is the sixth in the Third Round of Group C of the 2026 World Cup Qualification Asia Zone.
“So on November 15 2024, the Indonesian National Team’s match will be against Japan,” said Chairman of Commission X DPR, Hetifah Sjaifudian.
“On November 7 2024 the letter must be submitted to FIFA. So on November 7 2024 Kevin Diks was sworn in in Denmark. This is information from PSSI,” he added.
Kevin Diks has just defended FC Copenhagen in the Danish League. He scored one goal via a penalty kick in the 90+1 minute when his team was matched by Silkeborg IF on Tuesday (5/11) early morning WIB.
