Paris Saint-Germain can count on the return of the French defender and the Portuguese striker for the trip to Munich this Tuesday in the Champions League.
Good news for PSG. Long absent, Presnel Kimpembe and Gonçalo Ramos are in the group to face Bayern Munich, Tuesday evening (9 p.m.), at the Allianz Arena, during the fifth day of the Champions League. Aged 29, the French defender has been sidelined since February 26, 2023 and suffered an Achilles tendon injury on the OM field (3-0 victory). That’s 638 days away from the field! A long absence which, however, did not prevent the capital club from extending it at the end of 2023 until 2026. The 23-year-old Portuguese striker injured his ankle at Le Havre during the first day of Ligue 1, August 16 (4-1 victory).
The two players returned to collective training last week at the PSG Campus in Poissy, after working with the young people during the international break. Note that Lucas Hernandez, out since May 1 with a knee injury, will still have to wait to reappear in the group. It shouldn’t be long, he has worked with the group like Ramos and Kimpembe recently. The former Munich player, however, has been hampered by a cold in recent days. Note that Nuno Mendes, who forfeited the reception against Toulouse (3-0) last Friday, is returning to the group. To see if he is fit to start against Bayern. Luis Enrique will perhaps give indications at a press conference. The Spanish coach will answer questions from journalists with Vitinha this Monday, from 5:10 p.m., in Munich.
