Even though they were behind in the first half, Liverpool showed a revival in the second half and returned to the top of the standings. While Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah scored the winning goals, Kostas Tsimikas deserved praise as the best player. Challenging Match at Anfield
As expected, this match was not easy for Liverpool. Brighton was able to provide strong resistance from the start of the match. Cody Gakpo finally managed to equalize in the 69th minute, which was followed by Mohamed Salah’s goal just three minutes later.
