La Rochelle manager Ronan O’Gara has revealed his team composition for this Saturday’s trip to Castres.
For this Saturday’s trip (4:30 p.m.) to the Castres Olympique pitch, Ronan O’Gara, the manager of Stade Rochelais, has decided to once again start Oscar Jégou in third row. Since his return from Argentina – where he is, like Hugo Auradou, accused of rape in a meeting -, this will be his second match as a starter with the Maritimes, after La Rochelle’s victory at Marcel-Deflandre against Stade Français Paris (35- 18) at the beginning of November where he scored a try.
Furthermore, Jonathan Danty, usual center, will start in… third line. Teddy Thomas will once again be aligned in the center, alongside Ulupano Seuteni. La Rochelle’s back triangle will consist of Dillyn Leyds (captain) at the back, with Nathan Bollingier and Jules Favre on the wings. Tawera Kerr-Barlow and Antoine Hastoy will make up the hinge of the Maritimes.
For this match against CO, La Rochelle is deprived of pillars Reda Wardi, Uini Atonio, Georges-Henri Colombe and third row Paul Boudehent, retained with the Blues who face Argentina this Friday. Australian second row Will Skelton is with the Wallabies who face Scotland. Grégory Alldritt, who is one of the five reserves for the France-Argentina match this Friday, is logically not one of the 23 players retained by O’Gara, as stipulated in the FFR-LNR convention on internationals. Currently third in the standings, Stade Rochelais has conceded two defeats (to Montpellier and Bayonne) in its last four matches.
