The friendly inter-club competition organized by members of the administrative committee of Judo and Jujitsu Escalquens Labège and its teachers within the Europe gymnasium in Labège dedicated to girls and boys aged 6 to 13 took place on Sunday November 17 and held all its promises, both in sporting terms and in terms of organization and attendance with 446 participants and 13 clubs present. Indeed, as Jennifer Lerat, coordinator of this event, points out, the public responded and not only the parents, families and friends of the competitors but also people interested in possibly one day getting their offspring to join this very complete sport both at level of physical benefits as well as moral values. Two new features for this edition: On the one hand, the young referee’s cup which allowed young judokas to learn refereeing and understand its difficulty. It was supervised by two regional arbiter evaluators and on the other hand, passing UV4 (necessary to obtain the black belt), but until now UV4 only took place in official competitions organized by the Departmental committee at the Maison du judo. “We are the first club in Haute-Garonne to have received the delegation for the passage of these UV. The 9 registered for UV4 were able to validate it, 5 of whom are members of our club,” underlines Jennifer. Note the presence of Niki Moradmand-Nia, national sports commissioner, who was seconded by the Departmental Committee for the evaluation of UV4. Also note the Efficiency Cup won by Atmosphère Judo Toulouse. The organizers would like to thank the members of the JJEL board of directors, the volunteers, the town halls of Labège and Escalquens, the associations helping aikido and taekwondo of Escalquens, the dance and basketball club of Labège, the Crédit Mutuel de Labège, to the departmental committee, in particular to its president, Grégory Blanc, and to Carl Bordelai, head of arbitration commission 31, which allowed the passage of UV4 on this friendly.
