Successful young athletes from Kamp-Lintfort were honored again this year

Last Wednesday, the youth sports award was held as part of the 17th “Sport in Schools and Clubs” action day. This day of action is initiated by the city sports association together with the city of Kamp-Lintfort. The aim of the action day is for children in the first to sixth grades to get to know clubs and sports and try them out for themselves. The event is supported by Stadtwerke Kamp-Lintfort

The 650 visitors to the event provided a worthy backdrop for those being honored. Everyone was visibly pleased by the great atmosphere when the deputy mayors Barbara Drese and Ulrike Plitt presented the awards. Together with the managing director of Stadtwerke Kamp-Lintfort Frank Rattmann, Ms. Drese and Ms. Plitt presented the athletes to be honored with a certificate, two gift vouchers and a rose. “I would like to express my appreciation to everyone honored today for their sporting achievements. “You have once again represented not only your clubs, but also the city of Kamp-Lintfort excellently,” said Drese and Plitt, praising the athletes.

The following honors were given:

Dimitri Radev from PSV Duisburg 1920 became U13 North Rhine champion in judo and was able to win third place at the West German championship. He and his team also became North Rhine champions and will fight for the West German championship next weekend.
