Live ticker US election 2024: Trump calls for cage fights against migrants

A judge in the US state of Pennsylvania has rejected a stop to the million-dollar lottery announced by high-tech billionaire Elon Musk in the US election campaign. After a hearing on Monday, Judge Angelo Foglietta rejected Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner’s request to stop Musk’s raffle. Foglietta did not give a reason for his decision. But there are no more monetary gifts planned in Pennsylvania. Musk did not appear at the hearing on Monday.

Musk is supporting Republican candidate Donald Trump in the presidential election campaign. Last month, the boss of SpaceX and Tesla announced to raffle off a million dollars a day until the election to those who signed a conservative petition and are registered to vote in one of the seven states determining the election. Krasner then sued Musk and his lobbying group America PAC over what he called “illegal lottery system” classified raffle to stop.

The prospect of a million dollars was intended to mobilize voters who could vote for Trump and would otherwise have stayed at home. The US Department of Justice had warned America PAC, the lobby group founded by Musk to support Trump, the action may be illegal. According to America PAC’s website, 16 US citizens have received the $1 million so far, including four in Pennsylvania.
