Liverpool continuing their good start together Arne Slot this season and perched at the top Premier League. But looking at the standings too often has the potential to be more damaging.
Liverpool unexpectedly adapted very well to Arne Slot. The new slot arrived last summer to replace Juergen Klopp and has now brought the team to the top of the standings.
‘The Red’ collected 25 points from 10 matches, achieved eight wins then one draw and one loss each. Mohamed Salah has appeared stable and balanced under Slot, scoring 19 goals (the fourth most at the moment) and conceding just six times (the fewest).

This impressive start has lifted their position in the competition for the title. Initially, Liverpool was not considered considering the adaptation process with Slot.
Instead, they are now seven points from Arsenal, who are predicted to become Manchester City’s main challengers again. However, the season is still long and Liverpool don’t dare to brag about their chances of winning.
“No, don’t pay too much attention (to the standings),” said Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo.
“What we need is just to focus on every match and try to win it. I rarely look at the standings, just try to win every match,” he said on the club website.
One thing is certain, currently the Liverpool squad is aware of their respective roles. Even though many players don’t get players as often as others, including Endo, they know they are still needed in the midst of a long and busy season.
“We understand that our team needs everyone to contribute, because we have to play a lot of games.”
“I think everyone tries to prepare well for every match, and if they have the opportunity, they play their best. Now we keep winning and everyone is doing their job, so we are in a good situation,” added Endo.
