As with the NFL game in Munich two years ago, the LMU Clinic was once again the medical partner and on match day Dr. took care of the radiological diagnosis of injuries on site in the Allianz Arena. Wilhelm Flatz (radiologist) and Matthias Moser (medical technologist for radiology). In addition, as a partner of the NFL, the LMU Clinic was on standby in the event of serious injuries or life-threatening medical problems. Emergency medicine specialist Prof. Dr. Matthias Klein, head of the Großhadern central emergency room, was on site as the direct contact person.
In the days before and after the game, the LMU Clinic served as the first medical point of contact for emergencies of any kind – not only for the players, but also for all other employees who traveled from the USA to organize the game. The collaboration had been prepared for a long time and was characterized by the utmost professionalism. The LMU Clinic is pleased that everything went smoothly and that there were no serious, life-threatening injuries.
