At the Balkan Championship held in Loznica, the Croatian junior national team achieved great success, winning a total of six medals. Among them, Lorena Horvat, a member of Thor Bartolovac, who won gold in the category up to 70 kg and became the new champion of the Balkans, stood out.
Lorena, already known as the European cadet champion in 2022 and a two-time vice-champion of Europe, continued a series of great successes in the junior category as well. In the final, she dominantly defeated the local representative Anđelina Miletić by stoppage already in the first round, after three counts.
“Liepa naša” echoed in the Lagator hall in Loznica in honor of her victory, which gave this success a special significance.
Congratulations to Loretna Horvat on the outstanding result, as well as to her coaches Timi Maslić and coach Pera Veočić, who guided her towards this great success. This is another proof that even the smallest place with a boxing club, like Bartolovac, can create champions!
