In Oosterhout, associations jointly raised €66,280.80 during the Big Club Campaign.
Big Club promotion
This year the Big Club Campaign raised a record amount of €20,915,925. For the first time, the twenty million mark has been passed, a huge achievement for 6,022 clubs throughout the Netherlands. Together they sold more than 6.9 million lottery tickets. In Oosterhout, associations have jointly contributed €66,280.80 to this success.
Additional income for associations
The money raised provides clubs with much-needed additional income. This year, participating associations will raise an average of €2,778, more than €1,100 more than three years ago. The amount will be used for purposes such as new materials, dressing room renovations or anniversary celebrations. Director Frank Molkenboer emphasizes: “Our lottery gets people moving for a common goal. In this way we strengthen the vitality of associations in the Netherlands.”
For and by the club
The promotion is unique because the proceeds largely go directly to the associations: 80% of every €3 ticket sold goes into the club treasury. Members and volunteers contribute by selling raffle tickets. This makes the action not only a financial support, but also a unifying activity within the association. In addition to supporting clubs, the lottery offers buyers a chance to win one of 750,000 prizes, with two top prizes of €100,000 this year. The draw will take place on Tuesday, November 19, with a 1 in 9 chance of winning.
