Luis Ángel Malagón is one of the goalkeepers nominated for the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) awards for the best of 2024. In addition, representatives of the Liga MX Femenil also received nominations.
Throughout the week, the private organization confirmed the nominees for its different categories, among which Best Goalkeeper stands out due to the presence of the player from America in the Top 10.
Emiliano ‘Dibu’ Martínez, Alisson, Thibaut Courtois, Marc-André ter Stegen and Unai Simón are some of the goalkeepers who accompany Malagón in the candidacy for the award that Ederson won last year, who is nominated again. In the case of Malagón, he is the only Concacaf player among the candidates.
