The first chapter of the National Youth Games has been written in the Coffee Axis. More than 13 thousand people participated in Manizales, to carry out the sports competitions: fencing, soccer, basketball, table tennis, figure skating and racing, karate, triathlon, taekwondo, cycling and boccia.
During the games, the Manizaleños athletes stood out in their disciplines:
- Natalia Hoyos Gallo, silver and bronze medal in athletics.
- Luisseylin Enara Oraa, bronze medal in shot put.
- Sofía Cárdenas Balcázar, gold medal in karate do.
- Valentina Villa, gold medals in triathlon.
- Mariana Quiroga, gold and silver medal in triathlon.
- Tomás Escobar Bañol, gold medals in swimming.
- Carlos Eduardo Gálvez, bronze medal in judo.

This Thursday, November 28, the final event of the sports festival will take place. The closing will take place at the Jorge Arango Uribe Coliseum Mayor where tribute will be paid to athletes and volunteers. Entry will be from 6:00 pm to start at 6:30 pm
