The current champions of the La Laguna Regional Baseball League, Lerdo Raccoons managed to win the tenth edition of the Mazatlán Baseball Tournament 2024 which was held in the port of Sinaloa with the support of the Mexican Pacific League (LMP) team Venados de Mazatlán.
With the economic effort of their families, the little baseball players managed to go to this great competition where they faced the best novenas of Mexico and the United States.
In the grand final they defeated Hidalgo Minisox with a very tight slate, 4 runs to 1, towin the title of the 11-12 years category.

The great work on the mound was Amaury Pérez, who, with excellent pitching, achieved 8 strikeouts in 5 two-thirds innings and the save went to Emmanuel Ramos.

The road to the title

In the first meeting the team Lerdo defeated Los Angeles, California with a score of 3-2. Later they faced the representative of Zacatecas which they won by just the slightest difference 7 runs to 6.

In the semi-final they faced Mazatlan Wall and they made it to the grand final with scores of 3 runs to 2.

At the moment Lerdo’s Mapaches march undefeated in the La Laguna Regional Baseball League where they will seek a two-time championship and demonstrate the high level of baseball in the Garden City.
