The Santermana athlete Maria Grazia Leone, of the ASD Sport Experience Ideas of Santeramo, wins the double title of champion of women’s singles and mixed doubles at the Italian Badminton and Parabadminton Championships.
From last Friday until today, in fact, the Italian championships sponsored by Sport and Health, CONI, CIP, the Municipality of Chiari, the Province of Brescia and the Lombardy Region were held in Chiari (BR), and were held with the support of Lab 3.11, the Sport City Foundation and Sport Senza Frontiere Onlus.
The athlete from Santermo participated in the WH categories (in a wheelchair) accompanied by coach Antonio Lattarulo, winning first the singles match against Diana Luta (Alba Shuttle) and then the mixed doubles together with Giuseppe Maurizio (ASAM Isernia), defeating Roberto Punzo ( Gruppo Sportivo Paralimpico Difesa) and Diana Luta in two sets (21-17; 21-14).
In the awards ceremony Maria Grazia Leone was awarded by Carlo Beninati (President of the Italian Badminton Federation).
