Marta Pérez and David José Pineda share the 2024 Provincial Sports Award

The athletes Marta Pérez and David José Pineda have been chosen as the best Soria athletes of 2024 and will share an award that they will receive next Thursday December 5 within the framework of the 52nd Provincial Sports Gala, which will be held at the Palacio de la Audiencia starting at 7:30 p.m. The list of winners was announced this Tuesday in the boardroom of Caja Rural de Soria, in an event in which the president of the Soriana Sports Press Association (ASPD), Luis Martínez, and the representative of Caja Rural, Soledad Soriano.

With this recognition Marta Pérez equals the seven wounds that have so much Fermín Cacho as Abel Antónwatchword of Spanish and world athletics. Marta Pérez has completed a great year in 2024, in which her participation in the Paris Olympic Games stands out, an event in which she achieved the Spanish record for the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:57.75. The 2024 Special Sports Award goes to Esmeralda Moreno as a bronze medal in the Spanish Dressage Horse Riding Championship. The Promesa Award is for the under 19 badminton player Daniela Corchon and the 2017 Numancia Prize goes to Bald Angel.

“Caja Rural de Soria is always supporting Soria sports,” said Soledad Soriano in her speech. Luis Martínez highlighted the great moment that Soria sports are going through and highlighted that they will be more than 80 winners in an event in which “the entire Soria sports family will come together.”
