Martial arts take center stage

Martial arts are featured this weekend in Labège at the Europe gymnasium on Sunday November 17 all day under the organizing aegis of the Escalquens Labège judo jujitsu club. This friendly JJEL interclub competition brings together children practicing this discipline ranging from 6 to 13 years old.

The organizers plan to bring together approximately between 400 and 800 participants with their parents over the entire day. The event will be run by club volunteers, parents and people from invited clubs.

At the same time, note the establishment of a refereeing competition organized for the cadet, junior and junior categories. The evaluation will be carried out by official referees of the Occitanie league. As its president Laurent Nicolas indicates: “Judo is passion, education, balance, control, respect, pleasure… It is the school of life, which is based on a moral code, in a mutual and reciprocal commitment of values, to be transposed into everyday life.

This type of competition is a perfect opportunity to learn about this sport which is also an art of self-control conveying very educational values and life principles for children. The club offers two trial lessons in each category and there are still places left on the lessons!
