In the fourth league game of the season, the second team from BC Phönix Hövelhof hosted Gladbecker FC II.

Right at the start of the game, the Hövelhofers fell behind 3-0 due to defeats in all doubles. The first men’s doubles with Marvin Barther and Michael Berkemeier only lost in the deciding set.
Henri Saur and Michael Berkemeier also lost in three sets in the first and third men’s singles. While the women’s singles was delivered in two sets, the second men’s singles went to Hövelhofer without a fight.
Björn Six and Katharina Uthenwoldt won the only three-set win and thus the second point of the day in the final mixed doubles with 21:11, 16:21 and 25:23.

With this 2:6 defeat, BC Phönix Hövelhof II remains at the bottom of the table.


BC Phönix Hövelhof 3 – TuS Friedrichsdorf 2 2:6

Last Saturday the players from BC Phönix Hövelhof 3 met the first in the table, TuS Friedrichsdorf 2.

The game started with the two men’s doubles. Both Mickenbecker/Meiwes in the 1HD and Nickel/Diwo in the 2nd men’s doubles had to admit defeat to their opponents Löll/Klaß and Martin/Landgräber in two clear sets. The women’s doubles Vogt/Paschen initially got into the game well and were able to win the first set with 21:18, but had to admit defeat to Söller/Gottschalk with 18:21 and 17:21 in the following sets. We went into the singles with a score of 0:3. Marcel Mickenbecker was unable to improve his performance in the first men’s singles and lost again against Stephan Löll in two clear sets. Carolin Paschen was unable to maintain her doubles performance and also lost in two clear sets against Ronja Söller. Marco Meiwes managed to convince in the third men’s singles and won 21:14 and 22:20 against Dennis Martin. The second men’s singles went to BC Phönix Hövelhof without a fight. In the last game of the day, Goos/Vogt met Klaß/Gottschalk. The unrehearsed mixed doubles gave their best, but had no chance and lost 17:21 and 15:21.

The game ended with a score of 2:6. The BC Phönix Hövelhof 3 is looking forward to the upcoming game next Saturday against SC BW Ostenland 2 at full strength.
