The municipal mayor committed to working together with the Ministry of Sports for the construction of the combat sports center of the San Vicente de Paúl club.
Alex Díaz Paulino highlighted the importance of the construction of this modern building that will serve to host eight sports disciplines.
It meant that one of his campaign promises with the youth of this city was the construction of this sports center that has been paralyzed for several years.
“I have a commitment to the Franco-Macorian youth, so we will be following up on the construction of the infrastructure,” said Díaz Paulino.
He explained that with this building the problems of space for the sports disciplines of Olympic wrestling, judo, karate, tae kwon do, table tennis, chess, boxing and fencing will be resolved.
He thanked the Minister of Sports, engineer Kelvin Cruz, for his visit, who promised to work together to build the sports facility.
“We are going to comply with these eight associations, these sports disciplines always represent us by winning medals in national events, so it is necessary to support them with a good sports facility for their healthy practice,” said Alex Díaz.
He reported that in the next few days specialized technicians from the Ministry of Sports will come to evaluate the sports facility and we will be receiving from the San Vicente club the budget and plans of the building that is intended to be built,” said Díaz Paulino.
