MAZATLAN._ Mazatlan Rockies won the title in the Minor Youth category, while Quintero Castañeda League y Pulido-Mazatlán School They took second place in the tenth edition of the Mazatlán Baseball Tournament-Venados 2024which this Sunday concluded in the Muralla Club.
The ninth Rockies champion won the final by a large score of 17-2 against Bravos Delicias-Chihuahua.
Previously, in the semifinal held this Sunday, the Rockies beat Bulldogs-Puebla 6-5.
In another final contested by Mazatlecos, Liga Quintero Castañeda lost to Marins-Mexico City by a score of 17-15 in extra innings, in the Minor Children’s category.
A great offensive display by Lucas Rivas was the key to Marins’ victory. The gunboat Rivas went to the street on two occasions, to guide his team to the coronation.
Iker Martínez, in relief work, finished as the winning pitcher. Máximo Razo opened.
Liga Quintero reached the end of the seventh inning (last of the game) with a 5-run lead, but could not maintain the score and Marins tied it at 14 and forced extra innings, where they achieved a run of 3 to go on to win.
At the end of the duel, very excited, the coach of the champion team, Jorge Corona, spoke about the importance of coming out with the victory for his team.

Escuela Pulido lost the final in the Escuelita category against Academia Nava-Coahuila, falling by a score of 24-14, to remain runners-up.

The awards ceremony took place in the main palapa of the Muralla Sports Club, in a festive atmosphere for the champion and runner-up players, as well as more outstanding players.
