Saturday 9 November Carolina Morace, former coach of the national team, will be in Anzio and Nettuno where there is an emergency with facilities that have made the history of the Tyrrhenian town such as the ‘Steno Borghese’ baseball stadium
Anzio/Nettuno (Rm) – Le concessions on management costs for amateur sports associations, in order to encourage and facilitate access to sports for millions of boys and girls, was her strong point during the electoral campaign which allowed her, with a plebiscite of votes, to be elected to the European Parliament with the 5 Star Movement: Carolina Morace confirms its great commitment to sports clubs announcing a amendment to the budget law, in order to recognize economic aid, in the form of a 50% tax credit on the costs of electricity, gas and water utilities in reference to the current year.
“The promotion and enhancement of sporting activity – explains MEP Carolina Morace – has always been entrusted to sports clubs and associations, considering the structural and organizational criticalities of schools. By virtue of this we must enable sports associations to carry out their activities in the best possible way by helping them and supporting them in management costs: I am referring to credits on gas, electricity and water utilities, concessions on rent, funds for purchase of sports equipment and material. This tax credit, equal to 80%, will have to be conceived and transferred by amateur sports associations to their members in terms of concessions on registration fees: sport is everyone’s right and we must, therefore, allow easy access to practice sport also for less well-off families, the elderly and the disabled. Thanks to our group leader in the Chamber of Deputies, Francesco Silvestri, for his great sensitivity on this issue”.
Which sports associations and clubs will be able to access this contribution?
“Those registered in the National Register of amateur sports activities – specifies the former coach of the Italian national team – operating in disciplines admitted to the Olympic and Paralympic Games and carrying out youth sports activities, whose revenues for the 2024 tax period do not exceed 150,000 euro”.
And then there is the question of plant engineering. On Saturday 9 November Carolina Morace will be in Anzio and Nettuno where the situation is truly emergency with facilities that have made the history of the Tyrrhenian town, such as the “Steno Borghese” baseball stadium.
“Not just the baseball facility in Neptune – the Honorable Carolina Morace points out – I understand that the Sports Hall, the municipal swimming pool and the Masin stadium are also in deplorable conditions. What is perhaps not sufficiently clear is that neglecting facilities like this is not only bad for sport but for the entire community: for young people who have fewer opportunities to practice sports, for tourism which brings many fans of other teams to the city and, therefore , to all the related activities, to sports clubs who have difficulty finding suitable places to do activities, to families who want to remove their children from the dangers of the road, to possible new members. The situation of Nettuno’s sports infrastructure is truly alarming and should receive immediate intervention from the local authorities. Investing in the maintenance and recovery of these structures is not only an act of responsibility, but an opportunity to revive a community that deserves to dream again inside and outside the pitch. It is time to act, not only for the present, but to guarantee a better future for future generations. A closed sports hall is a detriment to the entire community.”
