Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla supervised the construction progress of the Zamora Wastewater Treatment Plant, with which 100 percent of the municipality’s waters will be cleaned for agricultural use, contributing to the rescue of the Duero River.
Accompanied by Roberto Arias Reyes, head of the State Commission for Water and Account Management (CEAC), the president confirmed that the infrastructure It presents a progress of 95 percent with a projection to be completed in January 2025.
It was explained that since it is a sludge oxidation plant, the cost for its operation and maintenance will be 50 thousand pesos per month; that is, seven times less than the expense generated by the other electric treatment plant, which makes it more profitable and sustainable by consuming less electrical energy.
Those responsible for the work reported that the plant has a distribution box, pretreatment, power house, administrative buildings, four upward flow anaerobic reactors, drying bed, parking lot, arrival connection, discharge point, biogas burner and surveillance booth.
They accompanied the governor, Jesús Camacho Pérez, delegate in Michoacán of the National Water Commission; the secretary of the Zamora City CouncilFelipe Umaña Melo; and the director of the Water Operator System in Zamora, Joel Romero Quiroz.
