The international vice president of Major League Baseball (MLB), Jorge Pérez Díaz, and Yerik Pérez, director of the Office of MLB in the country, held a meeting this Tuesday with the National Baseball Commissioner, Junior Noboa.
During the meeting, strategies were also discussed to ensure that Dominican academies and players meet the international standards established by MLB. Likewise, the importance of improve registration and doping systems increasing transparency and efficiency in the process, which will directly benefit young talents seeking to reach the professional level.
The National Commissioner, Junior Noboa, expressed his gratitude to MLB representatives for the organization’s commitment to the development of Dominican baseball.
“This alliance reinforces our commitment to position the Dominican Republic as a model of excellence in the development of sports talent and guarantee that our players continue to be a global benchmark,” said former player Noboa.
For his part, the MLB representative, Pérez Díaz, highlighted the leadership of the Dominican government and the Baseball Commissioner in the implementation of solid policies for the development of the sport.
The MLB vice president reaffirmed his commitment to continue supporting the implementation of solid policies for the development of baseball.
This meeting is part of a series of initiatives coordinated by the Baseball Commissioner who will meet with different state institutions.
